Dr. Basil Z. Khalaf, MD, FACEP

Dr. Basil Z. Khalaf is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician and Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine specialist dedicated to making patients feel cared for, understood, and empowered. He currently serves as a Staff Physician at Houston Methodist Hospital, clinical faculty in hyperbaric and wound care within the HCA healthcare system, and founder of The MediKal Group Concierge Services.
Dr. Khalaf earned his Doctor of Medicine from Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine, completed his Emergency Medicine residency at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, and fellowship training in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine at LSU Health Sciences Center. He is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians (FACEP) and has authored peer-reviewed publications and book chapters.
His previous roles include Wound Care Director for the AMG specialty hospital system, Assistant Medical Director at Matagorda Regional Medical Center, and Clinical Teaching Faculty for the University of Houston/HCA Clear Lake Internal Medicine Residency program.
